For all organisations it is essential that their staff are able to deliver excellent customer service to all customers so that they return again and again. The apprenticeship programme in Customer Service offers the opportunity to work with an employer whilst working towards a vocationally specific framework.

As part of this role you will show dedication, working to deadlines and gain confidence and self-belief.

It is important to have the right skills and knowledge to do your job properly. Different qualifications are needed to perform certain roles depending on your job level so as an apprentice this would be ideal to help you gain the correct qualification.

An apprenticeship allows you to get out and experience working in a proper job. You will develop skills and progress more quickly if you pick up some formal skills and qualifications along the way of your apprenticeship. As an apprentice you will also be required to do functional skills which are practical skills in English and Maths. When you become an apprentice at London Skills for Growth you will have job related lessons. By being in paid employment and by attending London Skills for Growth as an apprentice it will help you to become a more confident and capable person.

Training Opportunies

This apprenticeship trains you to provide excellent customer service, and can be applied to hundreds of job roles across many different sectors. Most customer service apprentices work in retail, financial services, call centres, hospitality, or sport and recreation.

Duties will vary between sectors, but in most cases you’ll be making sure that customers are dealt with in a positive, reliable and pleasant way – whether that’s by offering advice, answering questions or handling complaints.
