Using ICT Apprenticeship
Information technology shapes everything we do from simple things like using computer's to writing letters and sending out emails to other more sophisticated uses like monitoring finance, managing customer relationships, updating records through to processing of order and stock control.
Who is suitable?
Our apprenticeships have been designed to meet the needs of people who are IT users, but not professional IT staff. The programme will provide you with an up to date IT user qualification, tailored to the needs of your job role by making the best use of technology in business systems and in communication with colleagues and customers.
The programme recognises that all organisations need IT skills but that these will vary in level depending on individual business need and the use made of technology within an organisation.
ITQ even allows for the inclusion of bespoke units in recognition that many employers have their own unique IT systems. Typical roles include IT User Support, IT Helpdesk, Data Input Operators, Stock Controllers, IT Trainers, Office Administrators and Web Designers.
Level 2 ICT Framework
Is aimed at people who have some knowledge of IT functions and activities performed in a variety of contexts, which can include a company’s bespoke systems.
People working towards this course will need to show they can use a variety of software to produce work documents and be able to become responsive to workplace problems.

Level 3 ICT Framework
Is targeted at people within specialised roles in their workplace environments. They need to demonstrate competency in areas where they are using more advanced functions.
People undertaking this apprenticeship should become involved in a more responsible role where they deal with problem solving and a degree of autonomy
